Women's Council of the Houston Black Real Estate Brokers, Inc. (HBREA®)
The Houston Black Real Estate Association (HBREA) founded in 1949, is the local chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB). NAREB, founded in 1947, is the oldest and largest minority trade association in America, and its members are known as REALTIST®.
HBREA was founded on the principle that all citizens have the right to equal housing opportunities regardless of race, creed or color and our Mission is to Promote “Democracy in Housing” at every opportunity.
Our mission is to engage in community involvement by educating minority and low income neighborhoods about homeownership, credit stability and financial literacy.
Message from the President:
As President of the Women's Council of HBREA, I am deeply honored by the trust you have placed in me to lead this incredible organization.
Our Mission is to Elevate the Standards of Women in Real Estate by encouraging Leadership, Education and Networking to Educate Minority and Low Income Neighborhoods about Home Ownership, Credit Stability and Financial Literacy.
In the coming term, my focus will be on Membership. By providing value to members we will increase the Organization Mission therefore increasing our reach in the Community. As we Continue to Grow our Members knowledge and confidence it will prove why the Women' s Council of HBREA is a viable organization.
As your President, I am committed to transparency, accountability, and open communication. I invite each of you to share your ideas, concerns, and aspirations. The Women's Council is a collective force, and your input is invaluable in shaping the direction of our efforts.
My Executive Committee and I are excited about the possibilities and opportunities that lie ahead. Not only will we work hard but, we will have fun as we Serve the Community.
